What we collect, why we collect it, and how your reading stays inside PremiumAccess.

Effective August 27, 2026 — Last updated August 27, 2026

PremiumAccess ("PremiumAccess," "we," "us," or "our") operates a digital eBook store accessed through your account ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. Your email address, your display name, and an optional phone number. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only as salted hashes — we never see or store your password in readable form.

Entitlement records. Which reading pass you hold, when it was activated and when it expires; and, when individual purchases are enabled, which titles you own a licence to read.

Payment records. A log entry for each purchase or activation, including amount, currency and status. Free activations are logged with a $0 amount. Card details are handled by the payment provider directly and never touch our systems.

Technical data. Standard server and application logs: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps, and error diagnostics.

We do not collect biometric data, clinical health records, government identifiers, or precise location.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
  • To determine what you are entitled to read, and for how long.
  • To provide support and answer your questions.
  • To detect fraud, abuse of free activations, and credential sharing.
  • To keep the Service secure, diagnose faults, and improve it.
  • To comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Legal Bases (where applicable)

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), and consent where specifically requested.

4. Service Providers

We share the minimum necessary data with providers who help us run the Service:

  • Cloud hosting, database and authentication provider — stores your account and entitlement data.
  • Email delivery provider — sends account and transactional email.
  • Payment providers — process payments and hold payment details.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a business transfer.

5. International Transfers

We operate remotely and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

  • Account data: kept while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to handle disputes.
  • Entitlement records: kept while your account exists so history and expiry can be verified.
  • Payment logs: retained as long as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Technical logs: typically retained for a short rolling period.

You can request deletion at any time; we will delete what we are not legally required to keep.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@premiumaccess.cloud from your account address. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use only what the Service needs to function: a session or token used to keep you signed in, and local storage for preferences such as your cart contents. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in from working.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level access rules on our database so that one account cannot read another's data, and least-privilege access for administrators. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
